Scientific Information Services (SIS) Ltd
is a Caribbean business, which specialises in the procurement of consulting services for projects funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), World Bank (IBRD), European Development Fund (EDF), the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) and the UN. Together they have at least $3.2B(US) for the Caribbean.
In 2001 after 10 years of research and experience it developed the Carib WinBid System©. Using it SIS is able to efficiently identify projects and consultants (Caribbean & overseas) who can fulfill their requirements.
Samples of its databases are contained in Pipelines, Approvals, & Notices. These give indications of work which is available immediately (Notices), in a matter of months (Approvals) and within two years (Pipelines). These samples provide the latest summaries on Caribbean Projects, free of charge, with customised reports and services attracting a Fee.
SIS has supplied services to IFIs, Government Ministries and the Private Sector. For example, it has been pivotal in the development of The CCG (Caribbean Consulting Group) Ltd which it has supported in providing project management training for project officers of the 14 borrowing member countries of the CDB.
